If you are thinking about homeschooling, here is a quick view of what you can do to help your child succeed:

Learn the Basics : It is simple. Practice the addition and times tables for math, phonic, spelling rules and parts of speech for language arts, notes, keys and chords for music.
Understand the Concepts : Any "New Math" doesn't work. Most "Literacy Programs" are fads. After years of music classes, kids can barely play "Hot Cross Buns". Research proves the old ways are the best ways.
Develop Life Skills : Cook meals. Do chores. Explore projects. You'll learn more math following one recipe than doing worksheets for a week.

Math Lessons (Samples)

Kenzy Area Chalk- a live lesson on chalkboard of six standard shapes that provide a foundation for solving for area of a rectangle, triangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, box shape and circle.

Kenzy Squares - a puzzle in which players insert the numbers one to nine only once into a grid consisting of nine squares to match connecting square showing the sums of each adjacent square.

Kenzy Geo - a live lesson on mapping out shapes using simple tools to replicate carpentry skills.

The Kenzy Grid- a live lesson on using a 4 by 4 grid to find patterns and shortcuts to make multiplication and division easy, a method used by national math champions.

Parts of Speech - This video explains a writing exercise to practice using words like nouns, verbs and adjectives with any sentence or passage.

Cryptic Clues - This video explains a word challenge that works on spelling and vocabulary in a clever way.

Calendar Paragraphs - This is a writing exercise that uses a template to write creatively using any photo or pictures.
